to assign. * The most important position in SAF is a Pilot, or Member. Obviously
without our Pilots we would not exist. Because of this, the greatest burden is placed on each of our pilots regardless of
rank or position. But it is here that each of us can have the GREATEST FUN. We think this is a fair trade off. As a pilot
you will be expected to: Learn and strictly abide by the Internet Gaming Zone’s (IGZ) Code
of Conduct. If you are not aware of these Conduct rules, go to the IGZ now, click on help, and select "Code of Conduct" under
General Zone Topics on the Left hand side of the screen, or try the link following these rules. There will be no exceptions
in failure to abide by these rules, and it will result in at least a demotion. Conduct yourself in a manner that reflects positively on SAF. As SAF
becomes larger, more talented, and more respected; there is little doubt that we will become the targets of harassment and
improper phrases. If this happens to you, you are to IGNORE those taunts. Do not lower yourself and thus SAF into unnecessary
and immature arguments, shouting matches, or other unbecoming behavior. Remember that others are constantly watching us and
a great deal of their opinions of us come from our perceived actions. It is sometimes necessary to lose a battle in order
to win the war. If the harassment reaches a point where it interferes with your game play, please log the incidents in question
by making screenshots and report these to your CO and/or a Zone Sysop. Conduct yourself in a manner, which identifies you as a respectable
member. This involves respecting others, no matter if SAF-member or non-SAF member as well. Calling names and insulting others
on any of the SAF message boards or other public areas is unacceptable. We expect you to act maturely and truthfully as a member. Dishonest
actions are NOT tolerated and are grounds for a discharge. Support SAF and its allies. This goes for participating in organized
events such as a war, simple 'pick-up' games, and other events that you are asked to take part in. This also extends itself
to voicing your opinion honestly and fairly in Squad matters and discussions. Conduct yourself as a good sport. It doesn't matter if you've just humiliated,
been humiliated, or had a close game with a SAF member, one of our allies, or a hated enemy. If they were not on the Zone,
you would have not been able to play them. Being a good sport promotes the entire gaming community. As members of this community
it is our obligation to make it a fun place for ourselves and others to play. Besides no one likes a sore loser or a gloating
victor. Keep your Squad Leader up to date on all relevant business regarding
your current status, your squad, SAF wide, or external events of which you become aware. Identification: As a Pilot of SAF you are entitled to wear the badge
SAF_ in front of your user name. When acting in any SAF capacity, you are required to identify yourself clearly and correctly.
Forging messages as other SAF members on the message boards or elsewhere will not be tolerated. Zone Profile: SAF has a Clubs Profile on the Zone. Members of SAF are
required to petition for membership in the club called "Salvation Air Force". You can do so, by clicking here. Your zone name must match the name on the SAF roster. If you change
your name you are required to petition for membership again with your new name. Promotions will not be given to a pilot that
does not have a current Zone Profile. Being a member of this profile will help identify you as a SAF member
on the Zone. BSC-PPID: Once you have successfully signed up at Combat Zone and Battlestats,
you are required to enter your BSC-PPID into the SAF interface. This is how your awards will be placed in your bio and your
games are added to your Squad standings during an event. Promotions will not be given to a pilot that has not entered their
BSC-PPID. Pilots are responsible for all transmissions made under their user name. SAF NEWS: As a pilot you are required to check the message boards and
the news on the SAF homepage on a regular basis. This will constitute our primary communications site. Each Pilot is expected to learn the Chain of Command. Your Commanding
Officer (CO) is your Squad Leader. Any communication regarding official business should be brought to his/her attention. You
must contact and gain your CO's approval in order to: Address the Command directly Request a transfer to another squad Request consideration for a leadership position (New Squad Leader, etc.)
Report a problem with another pilot (SAF or otherwise) to your Squad
Leader. Your Squad Leader is responsible for reporting any issues he/she decides requires disciplinary action to the Wing
Commander. It is up to the Wing Commander to either make a decision or contact the Command and reach a decision on the issue.
Failure to follow this procedure will constitute "Breaking the Chain of Command". Gain approval for a leave of absence (extended leave for personal reasons)
Recruit; Any member who has obtained the rank of Flight Officer and
the permission of their Squad Leader may participate in the recruiting process. Failure to learn, follow, and respect the Chain of Command is a demoteable
offense. SAF is a gaming club. It is not involved with any illegal actions, like
sharing and distributing warez, crackz, cheatz or similar "filez", nor do we support it. Promoting any of those actions on
any of SAF's message boards/homepages or open chat areas is a demotable offense. All members are required to check in with their CO at least every two
weeks unless a prearranged "leave of absence" has been granted. Failure to do so will result in your being removed from your
squad position. * Pilots who are unable to play for an extended period of time may be
placed of a Reserves list. The Reserves list is designed as a place that a pilot who is unable
to compete for a period of time but still wants to retain their membership can reside until such a time as they can resume
activity. Reserves are not to be used as a place to dump inactive pilots. Inactive
pilots will simply be deleted. Pilots who require extended periods of leave (longer than two weeks)
may ask their CO for reserve status. Each Squad Leader is responsible for placing pilots in their squad on
reserve. Reactivation from Reserves requires approvals from the Wing Commander
and Squad Leader of the squadron a pilot wishes to be reactivated in. This reactivation has to be requested at the Transfer
Officer. When going on reserve a position in your old squad WILL NOT be held
for you. When reactivated you will be placed where there is room for you on the roster. While on reserves, a pilot is not permitted to compete in SAF events.
While on reserves, a pilot is not permitted to compete in SAF Top Gun.
While on reserves, a pilot is not permitted to participate in Recruiting.
                   * These Rules have been submitted to The SAF Battlewing Command for approval.
